From the Stroll of Independence the San Miguel
street is opened, a commercial space that approaches to
us until the church of century XIV of the same name. But
from this street we can approach to us in addition to the
seat to the Sites.
One is a seat of great meaning for the city like
center of citizen animation, fairs of crafts, books,
nourishing products and place of strolls and recreation by
its pleasant landscaped enclosure that extends by the
Stroll of the Constitution.

escultor Agustín east Querol monument that will be placed in the center of the seat of the Sites, previously
well-known with the name of Pza. de Jose Antonio.
The urbanization of this zone took place as a result of the celebration of the French Hispanic

This exhibition was the presentation in Zaragoza of the
new modernist style that reflected in the pavilions. After
the celebration of the exhibition great part of the pavilions
was demolished but they conserved the one that soon
was destined to Provincial Museum of Beautiful Arts, the
one that welcomes the institution of "the Charity" and the
School of Arts and Offices.
On you hoist them of the seat rises the monument
to the Sites that is made up of semicircular perrons,
pedestal with vigorous altorrelieves remembering events
and personages of the war and crown themselves with a
female figure that leans in the shield of the city. |
 |
The represented personages are the señeros defenders of the Sites, emphasizing the group of the
heroins that drag a tube. A feminine bronze sculpture crowns the set, allegory of Zaragoza, that leans on
the shield of the city.
It is considered like the more beautiful public monument of the city.
